The pillow is made from Aida fabric using dmc threads and the bag is a cute little design to pop in the little stitched pillow.

I also designed the Just For You tea card to match.

Until next time, happy stitching!

Friday Freebie gift bag, tags with tutorial.

Hi everyone, here are the digital downloads I promised, I have also put together a little tutorial for the gift bag.

Home Sweet Home and digital designing for Freebie Friday

Hi everyone, Home Sweet Home, I just love that saying, in my case that is so true, I just love being home tucked away in my house, for me there is no nicer feeling.

I recently purchased a second hand book from Amazon which contained lots of pretty cross stitch designs, in the book there is a section on houses and home sweet home designs, I chose this one and decided to make two.

On the reverse I stitched a Jane Austen quote, "There is nothing like staying home for real comfort".

In my stash I had some little keys that I knew one day would come in handy, I stitched them at the bottom of these pillows, I think they look so cute!

Designing this week

I have also been doing some digital designing this week, I decided to make a little bag, gift tags and a cute needlebook, you can see it below but it won't be ready to download until Freebie Friday this week, there will also be a cross stitch freebie to match the bag, if I get chance I will stitch it too.

Edited: The download is now available at this post here

I am preparing a little tutorial to show how easy it is to put the bag together.

This is the book, I think it cost me about £5

I designed all of the images on the bag using my Serif digital design software, but you can also design similar vector drawings using a free software from the internet called Inkscape, you can read about it here

I taught myself by watching tutorial videos, but be warned it is addictive!

Until next time, happy stitching!

Freebie Friday - Needlebook pattern and free gift bags

Hi everyone, its Freebie Friday, here is the needlebook pattern I promised in my last post, I have also designed a couple of gift bags to compliment the cross stitch pattern.

Freebie Friday - Hand made stitched with love labels

It's freebie friday!

I have been playing around with Inkscape to make these labels for you, hope you like them!

  • Print onto iron on fabric and adhered to your craft creations, clothes or quilts.
  • Print onto fabric and stitched inside
  • Print onto card, punch a small hole and thread some ribbon or cord through and use as gift tags

Inkscape is a free vector graphics editor that allows you to create designs like these labels, if you want to have a go you can read about it and download it for free here. There are lots of tutorials to help get you started, but be warned it is addictive!

Cross Stitch scissor fob and pin cushion finish

Hi everyone, I hope you are not bored with the mini cats but I have fully finished another of the designs into a St Patrick’s Day scissor fob, I have also printed out the free matching paper and gift tag just to see what it was like.

The gift tag measure 4.5cm x 8cm and the scissor fob measures 5cm x 6.5cm.

If you would like a copy of the paper just email me and I will send you a free copy, the free gift tags are available in the mini cat series tab at the top of my blog.

I have also finished the clover design into a pin cushion, the pattern for this is on my freebies page.

A couple of ladies sent me their finished photos of their cats too, you can see them below my scissor fob finishing. (FFO)

Here is the same design finished by Barbara from  Barbs Stitching Corner blog  here, thanks Barbara for sending me the photo, it looks lovely!

Here is another cute design by Becky from The Stitchin' Post  here

Until next time - happy stitching!
