New craft room news and stitch along anyone?

Oooooo I am so excited!!!!!
Yes it is finally happening, we are now getting around to decorating my new craft room in our home in France.

Craft room and stitching

My Craft Room

Quite a while ago I said that I would show you all my new craft room curtains and I have only just remembered!

My craft room revealed and a British Craft Award 2013!

Hi everyone, I finally managed to finish off the paint touch ups  after the fitter had finished the craft room, this is just one side, the other needs paint touch ups and tidying before I can show you, but I am getting there!
I loooove it, to be able to leave my stitching out and not have to clear away my sewing machine from the kitchen table is a real bonus, I feel totally spolit!

Santa's Village cross stitch progress and first pictures of my craft room

Country Cottage Needlework Santa's Village

Hi everyone, here is an update on Santa's Village, I have just finished the second cottage and have begun to stitch the next one. I have not had chance to do much stitching because I have been overseeing the craft room installation, I was hoping to have finished the third cottage by now, however, it just means I need to stitch the next one a little faster! I love the way it looks on this grey fabric, it is quite soft on the eye.

Craft room update
My craft room is now installed, I have had a few plug sockets moved which means I need to paint over the walls in some areas, once I have done that I will be choosing new curtains and a new chair.

It did not take me long to empty the room because everything was already in boxes, however, it did take me much longer to fill it again and I have still a bit more to do, once everything is in its place and the room has been repainted I should be ready to show photos and, hopefully, a video! That may take some time, so, I have taken photos of the display cupboard with the LED lights inside for you to take a peek at. (photos below)

I have organised all my craft things into their own drawers and cupboards, it is so much easier to access my things now and be able to create in this lovely room.  I have a number of things I am looking forward to designing over the next few weeks and then showing on my blog.

Stitching news

When I was sorting through all of my craft room boxes I found some unfinished projects that I forgot I had, one design only needs  a few more stitches and quite  a bit of back stitch to finish it. The design is a Noah's Ark scene stitched on Aida over a small count so it looks quite lovely, hopefully I should be showing that soon.
I also found a fully finished cross stitch that I forget to frame, it is  a Mirabillia Fairy design, I can't believe I actually forgot to get it framed!

Some of these projects were exchange pieces, therefore not everything in the photographs has been stitched by me, if you ever did an exchange with me you just may see it below - can you spot any of your stitching?

A big welcome to all of my new followers, until next time - Happy Stitching!

My Craft Room is painted ready for the next stage and all of my stitching news!

Hi everyone, my Craft Room is freshly painted and all ready for the next stage, I love this colour, it is so soft on the eye. It was  initially painted  cream and white but that was only temporary until I had decided on the appropriate colour. If you like the colour and live in England it is from the 1829 range at B and Q and it is called Study Room Blue.

Sorting my new craft room!

Hi everyone, I have finally managed to start sorting out my craft room, I have displayed some of my cross stitch in this little corner, there are gifts from blogging friends here and some of my stitching too.
You will also see an assortment of books, the cross stitch book was purchased last year but I forgot I had it because it was stored in a box somewhere. I have also bought some lovely Tilda books from Amazon, I think this is going to be my favourite stitching hobby over the next few months.

I have also started a Little House Needlework design, it is the popular Little House Neighbourhood pattern.
I have provided the links for the books below

I made this pink felt strawberry following the design in one of the books, although I did alter it slightly, I made the leaves and the flower on the top a little different.
Here is my new start, the Little House Needleworks design, it has been in my stash since last year, I have finally got around to starting it. I usually like to have a large stitching piece on the go as well as stitching small designs.
This is a little work in progress area, you will see that I am stitching a duplicate of the recent Valentine giveaway I sent to Elisa and I have also nearly finished the stitching on the duplicate gift I sent to Hazel.
I have also finished stitching the pale green design that I started a few months ago, I am going to finish  it into a box. The little bird singing embroidery is a freebie from the Gum Tree Designers blog here, it was a coat hanger cover but I decided to make it into a sweet hanging ornament, although I am not sure about the blue I have chosen for around the edge.
Here are some of the craft books I have collected, I need a bookcase though!
I have recently received this order of linen and threads from Sew and So, I use 32 count Murano linen quite a lot as I love the result. The blue/grey colour is for  a Victorian Sampler pattern that my husband bought me for Christmas.

Thankyou for your visit, I hope you call again!

Work in progress

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and doing lots of stitching!
I thought I would give you all a sneak preview of my recent works in progress, the photo above is a freebie pattern that can be found here, there are some beautiful photos of this pattern at this link here  where you will find beautiful completed works in this design, the work is truly inspiring. I spent too long checking out the gorgeous photos -  be warned they are addictive!

Some of you may have already seen the box I made for my friend Hazel, well I decided to make one for myself as I could not resist the bright colours and the gorgeous fabric.
If you would like to see Hazels box and contents completed you can see the post here.

Stitching news.

I am hoping to stitch and finish a giveaway for the One World One Heart giveaway, please check back on my blog on the 30th January, I should have a giveaway ready by that date.

I have recently designed a free cross stitch pattern that I am just putting the finishing touches to, I have stitched the design so that you can get an idea what it looks like, hopefully that will be on my blog soon.

My new craft room
I am getting a little more organised with my new craft room, the boxes I had stored there have now been cleared and I now have some more space in there to get myself a little organised, I may show you a progress photo soon!

Happy stitching everyone.
