Work in progress and Spring design nearly ready.

I chose to stitch it on a white background instead of  the grey suggested in the pattern, I used DMC B5200 white, it is a bright white and shows up really well, I may stitch the snowflakes in silver, not decided yet.

I used 16 count Aida for this project, I really love using Aida as the stitches are always supported nicely by the fabric, I sometimes think you can get a better finish using Aida.

Here is the picture of all four free patterns, they are all very easy for beginners or a quick stitch for advanced stitchers.

I have now finished the Spring design, you can download it from this post here

You can download Summer and Autumn here from my blog

Santa's Village Cross Stitch nearly finished and new mini cat design!

Hi everyone, I just thought I would show you my latest progress on Santa's Village that I started a couple of years ago......

Free winter mini cross stitch pattern and mini cat updates for 2016

free cross stitch pattern mini house in winter

This Winter design (pattern below)  matches the previous designs of Summer and Autumn that I designed previously, they are all exactly the same size.

I have not had chance to stitch Winter and test the colours so I hope they are ok, you can always change them if they don't look right, sometimes the colours on the software designer does not match the actual threads in real life and I currently don't have access to my threads.

Just right click on pattern and click save as to your computer.

Hello everyone, Bonjour!

Hi everyone, we have arrived in our new home in the countryside of  France and love it here, the weather has been so lovely, I have been wearing short sleeves ever since we arrived which is nice, nothing but gorgeous sunshine!

Here is another mini cat design, this December mini cat completes the full Calendar of mini cats for 2015, I hope you enjoy stitching it. The patterns are all freebies, you can download them from my mini cat page here.

Happy Stitching!

Hello!

Hi everyone, still around, somewhere in the south of England!

My little craft space and where am I now?

Hi everyone, I thought it was about time I gave you a little update on my travels.......

Friday Freebie - October Mini Cat for Halloween and Free Think Pink Gift Tags

Hi everyone, I have lots of time to design mini cats now, so here is the October Mini Cat freebie!

I feel free..............

There is something rather free about driving around in a motor home, if you don't like where you are you can always change your pitch, free is the word that springs to mind!

I would like to thank everyone for their good wishes, some of your emails were set as no reply and therefore I could not answer all of the emails but I do appreciate every single comment.

We purchased this motor home last week so we are just getting used to it, I drove it for the first time on Monday, it was a bit scary but my hubby talked me through it and I managed to drive 5 miles with no issues! Lol....
One thing we noticed, everyone who drives a motor home waves at you!

I am so  happy, there is something rather strange about hitting a milestone birthday (55) I suddenly got brave enough to follow my dream of moving to France. We are so excited and love the freedom we have right now.

As you know I am a lover of roses, I simply cannot get enough of them, when we get to our home in France the garden will be filled with Roses!

A few months ago I happen to say to my husband that I would love to visit David Austin roses and it just so happened that we were in the area, so hubby took me there, yay!!!

David Austin Roses wins gold medals at The Chelsea Flower Show every year, that is not a surprise to me, once you have David Austin Roses there is no going back, you are simply hooked!

Here are the photos of our first day out, of course we simply had to have tea and cakes in the pretty cafe. I looooove this teaset and the coffee and walnut cake was delicious.

In my next post I will show you inside the motor home and my mini craft room corner!

My heart started to race when I saw this sign!!!

Rose Cottage Mattress Pin Cushion

Hi everyone, I finished Rose Cottage, (my latest cross stitch design) into a sweet mattress pincushion.

There are over 200 french knots but I love stitching them so it was easy, can't say that about the finish though as I always find mattress pincushions to be quite fiddly and this was no exception.

When I was a little girl I used to draw a cottage with a picket fence and roses around it, this is where the inspiration came from.

Hope you like it!

Happy stitching.
