I drew the name out of a hat, (sorry but I don't know how to do this electronically) it took me ages but I finally have a winner!

Thankyou so much everyone for entering my giveaway, I do hope you will continue to visit my blog.
Please don't be disappointed if you did not win, I have entered lots of blog giveaways and I have not won anything, ever, maybe one day I will be lucky!

 Stitching news

I have not done much stitching but I have an  exchange to show you, this is the one I made for Staci at
I also have another one to show but I will show that on my next post.

I made this pinkeep with a ladybird design on the back,I then decided to use the fabric as a theme to base my design on. The little bottlecap pincushion is supposed to be a ladybird, this was based on the little bottlecap pincushions that Jenny Segrest makes here

I decided to just embroider mine with the little daisy pattern to match the pinkeep.

The needlebook is my own design made from felt and blanket stitched around the edge.

The alphabet is a free design, I can't remember where I got the grid from for the cross stitch, but if anyone would like a copy please leave a comment with your email address and I will send it to you.

Here is the lovely exchange that Staci made for me.
Staci made the two lovely pillows and stuffed them with crushed walnuts, I thought this was a lovely idea. I particularly liked the way that Staci trimmed the reverse side of the pillows. Also included were the threads that Staci used in stitching the design and the buttons ribbons and thread will certainly be useful for my forthcoming projects

Thankyou Staci, I enjoyed our exchange, I shall treasure these gifts and I will put them in my new craft room when it is finishesd!

Happy stitching everyone, until next time!

There is still time to enter my giveaway, just click on the picture on the right hand side or check out the previous post to this one.

Well, I have had the most wonderful week opening exchanges and I just had to show you this gorgeous exchange  I received from Margaret in Spain, isn't it just absolutely wonderful,  I do feel very spoilt!

Now if you have never visited Margarets blog (click here) then go there now, you will not be disappointed, Margaret makes the most beautiful stitched bags you are ever likely to see, they really are scrumptious, and now I own one yippee!!!!

Thankyou so much Margaret for a wonderful exchange, you are so generous making me such wonderful gifts, I shall treasure them always. They will also take pride of place in my new craft room when it is finished.

I have also received a beautiful exchange from Stacy over at Snippets and Stash blog but I have not taken the photo's yet. I will tempt you with those goodies next time.

My time for exchanging will diminish over the next few months because I have some building works being carried out on my home, however I am hoping to pick up on exchanges nearer to Christmas. I am particularly looking forward to getting my new craft room decorated, and I am sure I will take plenty of photo's to put on my blog to show progress.

Thankyou once again Margaret for a wonderful exchange, I hope you like mine as much as I like yours!

Happy stitching and thankyou for the lovely comments, I really appreciate them.

Exchange from Yana and gift for a friend.

Hello everyone, I have a number of pictures to show you, the first is the lovely exchange that Yana sent me from Russia. I received this a couple of weeks ago but I did not post a picture because I thought I could post pictures of the exchange I sent to Yana at the same time.

I have also made another blue box similar to the one I made for Gladys in a recent exchange, although this one has a slightly different design, it is a birthday gift for a friend. It is very similar to what I have stitched before, but my friend likes blue and I did not have any other blue fabric.

Here is a close up of the gorgeous biscornu that Yana made, it is just beautiful!

The stitching is perfect!
Including the beautiful needlebook and the scissor fob.
The reverse side
I just love these little dolls that fit inside each other!

Thankyou Yana for a lovely exchange, you are so talented!

I hope you get your exchange soon.

Happy Birthday Diane, I hope you have a good one!

Welcome to all of my new followers, I really appreciate all of your visits and comments.

Happy Stitching!

Look what arrived in the post!

Here is the lovely tea exchange that I received from Jennifer, I absolutely love it, especially because it is in my favourite colour - pink of course!
I first met Jennifer through the Hooked on Exchanging group when Jennifer sent me a beautiful mattress pincushion (here) in one of my first exchanges.
Jennifer included various flavours of tea, pink silk thread, ribbon with a tea cups design, a Sajou thread winder and a french cross stitch pattern.
Thankyou Jennifer for a lovely exchange!

Stitching news
I am currently putting the finishing touches to my first anniversary giveaway, apart from that I have not much stitching to report.
I have also received a blog award from Wendy, however I will post about that in my next post.
Thankyou for all of the lovely comments on the tea exchange that I sent to Jennifer, I really appreciated them all.
Happy stitching and thankyou for visiting

My tea exchange has arrived at it's new home!

Tea anyone?
My tea exchange to Jennifer has arrived, she has emailed me to say she loves it!
I was so pleased it arrived safely, I wonder how many cross stitchers hold their breath until the items finally arrive, I was thinking I might need oxygen I held my breath for that long!
I included a mahogany box with a fimo clay teapot and roses, a teabag holder, tea printed fabric and DMC threads that were perfumed with roses, apple and strawberries and a hanging heart ornament.
All cross stitch pattern information is available below but I cannot remember where I got the letter J for the mahogany box - I will try to find it and post it later.
I made the little teapot, cup and saucer and roses from fimo clay, I did not have the correct cutters to make a decent saucer but it was my first attempt, ( all you miniature artists look away now) LOL! I was pretty pleased with the little teapot, I had to make three to get it right but I absolutely loved making it, in fact I feel another addiction coming on!
I followed the Christel Jenson videos on You Tube for instructions on how to make the teapot, the roses were also a You Tube video, just type in fimo clay roses. I love anything pink and twinkly so Swarovski Crystals are a must, I also knew that Jennifer likes pink and green! The pattern for the heart is a freebie from Zoes blog here.
The teacup and saucer pattern is from 50 Tiny Tea Motifs pattern book by Jorja Hernandez, published by The American School of Needlework.
The letter J is a free pattern from Tempus Fugit blog here
Jennifer sent me one of my first ever exchanges last year, she made me a gorgeous mattress pincushion that I loved, you can see pictures here.
It was such fun stitching this for you Jennifer and I am very pleased you liked it.
I do hope you enjoy looking at my latest creations as much as I have enjoyed making them.
Stitching news
I am now concentrating on my first blog anniversary for 31 July 2009 so please don't forget to return and join in the fun. I will post it on that date but I will not be drawing it until I return from my holidays in September, that wil give everyone a chance to leave a comment and not miss out!
Happy stitching and thankyou for visiting!

Bright red for summer!

The exchange I made for Jill has arrived!

We decided to include goodies, however I do like to make the extra's myself and this is what I made. I made the pillow and needlebook out of felt, the free grid for the little girl can be found at the Swappons blog here , the needlebook is my own design but if anyone would like instructions I can oblige!

The biscornu is another free pattern, this can be found from the Batty Bat site here, just scroll down and you will see the pattern, in fact I have just seen a lovely one for a tortoise that I must do next!

The alphabet for the name can be found at one of my absolute favourite blogsleschroniquesdefrimousse, click here and you will see the pattern at the bottom of the page. There are so many free patterns on this website, I really recommend you take a look, the patterns are fab!
This was my first attempt at making Fimo clay roses, I have made some more since making these and I will be posting pictures later next week.

Reverse side

Jill collects thimbles, I found these in the Lake District and thought they would finish off the exchange nicely!
I really enjoyed this exchange Jill, it was such fun to make, especially as I love ladybirds!
