A stitchery, some buttons and a new cross stitch.

Hello everyone, here is my latest stitchery that I have just completed, it is a Jenny of Elephantz design and I love it!

LHN Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe work in progress and new stash.

Mmmmm Chocolate is one of my favourite things, especially when it is designed by Little House Needleworks, Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe! I have stitched more on this since I took the photo, so hopefully I will have this finished at the weekend. It has been such a quick stitch but I have really enjoyed stitching it, the colours are lovely.

I have also been buying some stash, I chose some linen and another selection of Country Cottage and Little House Needleworks patterns. I particularly like the Rosie pattern below, she is just so cute, I think that will be my next project.

Le Boutique and The Flower Shop

And
The Needlework Shop and Bakery

I also needed some new linen, I bought red, black, pale blue and pink, I have some ideas for the black as I am working on a black and white stitched piece at the moment, it has been a work in progress for quite a while, the black linen is to make accessories to match. I bought the Christmas Red as I am planning to make some red pieces for Christmas this year.

 Other stitching news
I have received some photos recently of the projects that some of my readers have stitched using my patterns, I am hoping to show those in my next post.
Today I was cutting out the pattern for a new dress I am making so I didn't get much cross stitching done but I have been thinking about my third blog anniversary giveaway gift that I am planning for July, hopefully I can rustle up something that you will all like!

Welcome to all of my new followers and thankyou for all of your comments, they are really appreciated!

Until next time, happy stitching!

Sorting my new craft room!

Hi everyone, I have finally managed to start sorting out my craft room, I have displayed some of my cross stitch in this little corner, there are gifts from blogging friends here and some of my stitching too.
You will also see an assortment of books, the cross stitch book was purchased last year but I forgot I had it because it was stored in a box somewhere. I have also bought some lovely Tilda books from Amazon, I think this is going to be my favourite stitching hobby over the next few months.

I have also started a Little House Needlework design, it is the popular Little House Neighbourhood pattern.
I have provided the links for the books below

I made this pink felt strawberry following the design in one of the books, although I did alter it slightly, I made the leaves and the flower on the top a little different.
Here is my new start, the Little House Needleworks design, it has been in my stash since last year, I have finally got around to starting it. I usually like to have a large stitching piece on the go as well as stitching small designs.
This is a little work in progress area, you will see that I am stitching a duplicate of the recent Valentine giveaway I sent to Elisa and I have also nearly finished the stitching on the duplicate gift I sent to Hazel.
I have also finished stitching the pale green design that I started a few months ago, I am going to finish  it into a box. The little bird singing embroidery is a freebie from the Gum Tree Designers blog here, it was a coat hanger cover but I decided to make it into a sweet hanging ornament, although I am not sure about the blue I have chosen for around the edge.
Here are some of the craft books I have collected, I need a bookcase though!
I have recently received this order of linen and threads from Sew and So, I use 32 count Murano linen quite a lot as I love the result. The blue/grey colour is for  a Victorian Sampler pattern that my husband bought me for Christmas.

Thankyou for your visit, I hope you call again!

Happy New Year, christmas pressies and an exchange.

Hi everyone, Happy New Year to you all! This year I am looking forward to doing more stitching than I did last year, I have got lots of stitching planned and many projects I can't wait to start. In fact, talking of projects I thought I would show you some of the pressies my husband bought me for Christmas.

I also received this craft cutting machine, in addition to cutting paper and card it also cuts small pieces of fabric! I am looking forward to using it when I make projects out of felt.

Stitching News
I am still waiting for my Christmas ornament from the Hooked on Exchangng group, I am sure it will arrive sometime soon. I made this ornament for Sadie from Stitching up a Storm blog, this ornament is from a Prairie Schooler pattern.

This week I started stitching this pattern again for myself, I have made a concerted effort to stitch everything twice so at least I have a copy of everything I send in exchanges or giveaways.

Happy stitching everyone and thankyou for your visits and comments over the year!

A gift from Angela, my stash of fabrics and a work in progress........

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a lovely stitchy week.
A few months ago I decided to treat myself to a stash of gorgeous fabric from Shabby Fabrics, if you have never seen their website go check it out here. They supply over the internet from America, they arrived only about 10 days later in England  and they were worth waiting for, they are absolutely gorgeous, all of the colours blend together beautifully and every single one of the designs are really pretty.
I have bought some other colours but I will save them for another time.

Next up is the beautiful gift that I receved for my birthday from Angela, the gorgeous ribbons, a lovely Cypress bread roll and a notepad from the Victoria and Albert Museum, Angela knows I am into the Victorian era so this was perfect. I love taking tea in the garden so it will be lovely to wrap up some warm bread and eat it in the sunshine alongside a nice cup of english tea!
Thankyou Angela for the lovely gift, I love it all.

I have also been stitching a cross stitch that I started last year, it is a free pattern from the internet,
stitched 1 over 1 in red satin DMC thread.

I love the flowers and the butterflies on this.

I hope I can keep stitching things that are of interest to you all, thanks for your visit, until next time......
Happy Stitching!

Seventh prize of ''3 roses or a coffee pot'' goes to Daffycat blog here

Congratulations to all the winner's. I will post the gifts no later than the end of September, you may get them sooner but I like to give a late deadline to give me plenty of time, I have also not made all of the rose pins yet or the extra coffee pots.
I would also like to put in a disclaimer at this point, I will post all items but if anything gets lost in the post I am afraid I will not be able to make any of the items again - sorry but you know it can happen and I just wanted to cover myself on that point.

Stitching news

I have been asked on  a number of occasions how I finish various items, so I decided to put my own finishing instructions together for a pinkeep. My next post will show pinkeep finishing instructions for the Tea pinkeep below, there are easy to follow photograph's with tips on how I finish my work.

I entered the village show today with my cross stitch gifts, I won first prize and a trophy for Best in Crafts, yay! My Mother won first prize for her card making skills and second prize for a cottage cross stitch.

I cannot remember where I got the free pattern from for this pinkeep,
if anyone can help please let me know!
Fourth prize - A little tea if you please.
Pattern by The Sampler Girl
Here are a selection of the fimo roses that are offered as the 5th, 6th and 7th prize although the roses may not be exactly the same colour as those in the picture.
Fimo clay rose instructions can be found on You Tube, just type in polymer clay or fimo clay roses and
you will get detailed instructions on how to make them.
I can't wait to get started on decorating these beauties, I have never seen boxes
as nice as this, does anyone know where to get them in England? I have bought small
boxes but I have never seen the larger one's.
All these gorgeous fabrics, they were much cheaper than England!
I finally got a tatting shuttle - yippee! Goodness knows when I am going to get around to
tatting but it is on my list of things to do.
Don't you just love the yummy colours of the ribbons-mmmmmm!
I saw these paints that are perfect for my painting on fimo clay, the oils are to use in my parchment craft, although it is a while since I have created cards in parchment I always like to have things in stock just in case I feel a card making day coming on!
This is the lovely gift I received from Wendy.
Last year I completed a lovely butterfly embroidery which I showed to a friend and she loved the design, whilst in America I saw the kit and just had to buy it for her, I told her I had got something very special in cross stitch but did not tell her what it was, nor did I tell her she was the recipient, so now you know Diane, if you read this post this is the special gift for you!
Thankyou for your visits and wonderful comments!

Little House Needlework stash and ornament finish

My sister bought me these gorgeous Little House Needlework patterns for my birthday, apparently there is another one on it's way but I am not sure which pattern it is. I did not have any of these patterns a few month's ago but now I have six to stitch, I am really looking forward to stitching them as I have seen these on other blogs and they look lovely.

I am a little behind with my stitching deadlines at the moment, I should have finished a March Christmas ornament for the Christmas Challenge blog but I have only just got around to finishing it, I have posted the picture below.
Holly House by Elizabeth's Designs from the
Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament's 2008 Magazine

I changed the finish slightly from the original design, I trimmed it with green felt instead
of the yellow.

Stitched on 28 count linen
Thankyou for visiting, happy stitching everyone!
