Hi everyone, here is my latest progress on Santa's Village, I am hoping to get this cottage finished by the weekend.
I only have two more houses to do and then it will be off to the framers, yay!!!
I have designed another mini cat pattern for Valentines Day (pattern below) and put together a tutorial for making these little necklaces as I have had a few requests for these, you can see the tutorial over at my cross stitch finishing blog
Stitching news
I have been working on Santa's Village as you can see and also making these necklaces, I used 32 count linen stitched 2 over 2 using dmc thread.
I have noticed over blog land that there are a few random acts of kindness being sent so I thought I would join in the fun. Over the next twelve months I will be sending out randon acts of kindness to some of my readers, they will be pretty random and I never know when I will be doing them, probably just when the mood takes me!
I have just put together two this week and the recipients have received an email saying they should expect a surprise from me over the next few weeks, so you never know if you leave a comment over the next twelve months it could be you! I will, of course, be doing a blog giveaway sometime soon as I am long overdue, possibly when I get to 3000 followers, I think I have just less then a 100 more to get there!
Free Pattern
Until next time Happy Stitching!

Thanks so much for posting the tutorial on making the necklaces. I have seen these all over the internet and I would love to know how to make them. Taa daa, here it is. Love your Santa's Village. I also made your fimo clay roses and teapot. Definitely loved those!

Great progress on Santa's Village. It is such a feeling of accomplishment when you finish a large design such as this.
I love the necklaces and for some reason was not aware of your other blog. I am now following that one too and hope to try my hand at making a necklace :-) Thank you for the detailed tutorial.
Hugs,
Lisa

Lynn, your Santa's Village is beautiful - just bet you can't wait to see it framed. Of course, I love your Valentine Cat - thanks for another delightful cat design. Thanks, too, for the tutorial on the necklaces.
Christmas is always such a crunch time for me. I save up ideas all year long, then try to scramble to get it all done, with grading, with finals, with assessment....ugh. Needless to say, I don't get it all done. Thank you for posting Christmas in February...it's like permission to start early. :) Your blog is beautiful and your link in my feed gave me a smile this morning. ~Kelly
