Flowers in my craft room and Summer cross stitch progress

Hi everyone, we were in a gardening mood this week, I cannot tell you how long I have wanted  window boxes on my house but it must have been about thirty years in the making! Lol Since having my first house all those years ago I have always intended to have a window box or two but never got around to it, well today is the day......tah dah!!!!!
After all the renovations on the house we are now making the outside look pretty, we are just finishing the back garden and then we can enjoy sitting outside in the summer.

Do you love them as much as I do?
The photo above is the one under my craft room window at the front of the house and the one below is under my kitchen window. Initially I did not think we had enough plants to do both but I just had enough to fill the smaller one too, I have a third one ready to go but we need some more plants to finish.  This is all trial and error at the moment so I am just waiting to see what the display will finally look like once the flowers have fully bloomed.

Edited: you can see updated photographs of my garden on this post here.

I also treated myself to these tulips in my craft room, the colours are so pretty and bright.

Now for my stitching news

I have been stitching the Summer pattern that I talked about in my last post, I just need to stitch the letter 'S' and then finish off a few stitches here and there and then it is ready for framing.

I am also involved in another Mini Quilt Swap exchange, it needs to be ready by the end of June but I can't start that at the moment as I need to wait for more printer ink for my computer before I can print off the design that I am going to use.

This is the pattern chart, you can get it from Sew and So in the UK

Until next time......

Happy Stitching!

The window boxes are lovely, Lynn and those tulips too. Flowers just brighten things up, no matter the weather or mood. Speaking of brightening up, the summer pattern is fantastic. Great work as always.
Hugs,
Lisa

I love window boxes, too, and yours look so pretty, Lynn. I've been meaning to buy one for my garden shed that sits by the patio--perhaps you've inspired me!!

And I love your newest cross stitch WIP--those CC designs are always fun to stitch...

Hope your month of June is off to a fantastic start :)

You have been patient! After all those years it must be a big moment of enjoying, finally! It looks very beautiful, it must be fun to look outside now. I love the tulips as well, but hey, I'm dutch and living in the biggest flowerbulbregion of the world!
It's a pitty you have to wait for the ink now, but at least you have time to look to the flowers ;-)
Greetings again

I love window boxes and yours are so sweet! It would be fun to add some here at my house, but for now I'm satisfied with my deck boxes which are similar to your window boxes. :)

Your window boxes are lovely and don't forget the flowers should grow in to the empty space anyway. The tulips are just beautiful. Great stitching.
